Town of Scarborough Pier
Scarborough, Maine

The Scarborough Town Pier has served the Town of Scarborough and its fishermen for many years. Due to the increased demands of both the commercial fishermen and recreational boaters the Town has budgeted funds to upgrade the pier and floats. Based on several meetings with Northeast Civil Solutions, Town Staff and the Fishermen’s Co-Op a plan was formulated. The new pier will be expanded from 6’ in width to 20’ and will be able to accommodate trucks and emergency vehicles at the end of pier. Three cranes will be installed at the end of the pier to lift gear and fish from the trucks to the boats. Final design and permitting of the pier is scheduled for FY 2007, construction is anticipated to commence in the winter of 2007.
